Saaf Travel Booking Terms

These Booking Terms apply to tours, journeys, activities, accommodation, transfers, and other travel services booked with Saaf Travel, Commercial Registration No. 1586116.By confirming a booking or making a payment, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and every traveller included in the booking.

‍Booking and Payment A booking is confirmed only after Saaf Travel has issued written confirmation and received the deposit or payment stated in your quotation or booking confirmation. Payment amounts and due dates will be shown in your booking confirmation or invoice. If payment is not received by the stated deadline, Saaf Travel may treat the booking as cancelled by the client. The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all traveller names, dates, contact details, and other information are accurate.

‍Pricing and Taxes Unless stated otherwise, prices are quoted in Omani rial or USD and include applicable VAT. Prices are based on the number of travellers, itinerary, accommodation, activities, and services confirmed at the time of booking. Changes requested by the client may result in a revised price. If a government tax, fee, or mandatory charge is introduced or increased after confirmation, Saaf Travel may adjust the affected portion of the price where legally required. Any change will be communicated before the relevant service is provided.

‍What Is Included Only services specifically listed as included in the booking confirmation or itinerary form part of the booking.Meals, drinks, tips, visas, international flights, travel insurance, optional activities, and personal expenses are not included unless expressly stated.

‍Itineraries and Timings All travel times, distances, and schedules are approximate. Traffic, roadworks, weather, local events, and other conditions may cause delays. Saaf Travel may make reasonable changes to routes, timings, activities, or accommodation when necessary for safety, availability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Any replacement accommodation will be of a similar standard where reasonably possible.We will inform you of material changes as soon as reasonably possible.

‍Attractions, Holidays, and Weekends Entry to monuments, souqs, museums, nature reserves, and other attractions is subject to their operating hours and availability. Unexpected closures may occur, particularly during Eid, national holidays, religious occasions, or official events. Oman’s weekend is Friday and Saturday, which may affect opening hours and operations.If a planned attraction becomes unavailable, Saaf Travel will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative. An exact replacement cannot always be guaranteed.

‍Changes Requested by the Client Requests to change dates, accommodation, activities, traveller names, or other booking details are subject to availability. The client is responsible for any additional supplier charges, price differences, or administrative costs resulting from a requested change. Saaf Travel will explain these costs before confirming the change.

‍Cancellation by the Client Cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@saaftravel.com. The cancellation date is the date on which Saaf Travel receives the written request. Unless different terms were clearly stated and accepted for a particular booking, the following policy applies, calculated from the scheduled tour start date:

‍30 or more days before the tour: 95% refund of payments received, less any payment-processing fees that are not returned to Saaf Travel.
‍21 to 29 days before the tour: 75% refund of payments received.
‍14 to 20 days before the tour: 50% refund of payments received.
‍8 to 13 days before the tour: 25% refund of payments received.
‍7 days or fewer before the tour: No refund.

Hotels, camps, transport providers, permits, flights, cruises, and certain activities may have separate non-refundable conditions. Any known booking-specific conditions will be identified in the quotation or booking confirmation. Where accepted booking-specific conditions differ from this general policy, the booking-specific conditions will apply.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 14 business days. The time taken for funds to appear may depend on the bank or payment provider.

‍No-Shows and Unused Services No refund will be provided if a traveller fails to attend, arrives too late to participate, voluntarily leaves a tour early, or chooses not to use an included service. This clause does not apply when Saaf Travel or a supplier cancels the affected service.

‍Cancellation by Saaf Travel If Saaf Travel cancels a service for operational reasons within our control, you will be offered a suitable alternative, travel credit, or a refund for the cancelled service. If a booking cannot proceed because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative or recover funds from the relevant suppliers. Any refund will be limited to amounts recoverable from those suppliers. Saaf Travel will not retain charges for its own services that were not provided.

‍Force Majeure Force majeure means an event beyond the reasonable control of Saaf Travel or its suppliers. This may include extreme weather, natural disasters, flooding, epidemic or pandemic restrictions, strikes, road closures, government actions, security incidents, or official travel restrictions. Saaf Travel is not responsible for delays, itinerary changes, or additional expenses caused solely by such events. We will, however, provide reasonable assistance and alternatives where possible.

‍Weather-Dependent Activities Some activities, including boat trips, hot-air balloon flights, hiking, canyoning, and water-based experiences, depend on suitable weather and safety conditions. If an activity is cancelled by Saaf Travel or the activity operator for safety or weather reasons, we will offer one of the following where available:

*Rescheduling a suitable alternative activity
*A refund of the recoverable amount allocated to the cancelled activity
*The remaining parts of the journey will continue where it is safe and practical to do so

‍Traveller Responsibilities Travellers are responsible for:
‍
*Holding valid passports, visas, permits, and other required travel documents
*Providing accurate personal and travel information
*Informing Saaf Travel about medical conditions, allergies, mobility needs, dietary requirements, or other circumstances that may affect participation
*Following reasonable safety instructions given by guides and activity operators
*Respecting Omani laws, customs, communities, and protected environments
*Some activities may have age, fitness, health, or mobility requirements. Saaf Travel may refuse participation where it reasonably believes that participation would create a safety risk.

‍Travel Insurance We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, personal belongings, and any adventure activities included in the itinerary.Saaf Travel is not responsible for costs that could reasonably have been covered by suitable travel insurance.

‍Liability Saaf Travel will provide the services it operates directly with reasonable care and skill. Some services are delivered by independent hotels, camps, transport companies, activity operators, and other suppliers. Saaf Travel is not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility, liability, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Omani law.

‍Complaints If a problem occurs during your journey, please inform your guide or Saaf Travel as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to assist. Unresolved complaints should be sent to info@saaftravel.com, preferably within 14 days after the service ends. This timeframe does not affect any mandatory legal rights.

‍Personal Information Personal information provided during an enquiry or booking will be processed in accordance with Saaf Travel’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws. Please review our separate Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, store, and share personal information.

‍Governing Law These Booking Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Oman, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
